Role Description This full-time Welder role is a hybrid position based in Quesnel, BC, with some flexibility for work in the field. On-site and in shop the Welder will perform welding and fabrication of metal components, follow technical drawings and specifications, and ensure all work meets safety and quality standards. Daily tasks include setting up and operating welding equipment, inspecting materials, performing repairs, and maintaining tools and work areas in good condition. The Welder will collaborate with supervisors and team members, complete required safety documentation, and participate in inspections and quality checks. The role will also involve field work at client locations, adhering strictly to company and regulatory safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in core Welding techniques and fabrication, including experience reading blueprints and working with various metal fabrication processes.
• Hands-on skills in Arc Welding, with the ability to select appropriate settings and consumables for different jobs.
• Experience in TIG Welding for precision work on thin materials or specialized alloys.
• Experience in MIG Welding for structural components, production welding, and repair work.
• Solid understanding of Materials, including properties of common metals, appropriate filler materials, and basic metallurgy concepts.
• Relevant trade certification or apprenticeship in welding; Red Seal or equivalent qualification is an asset.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to work accurately with measuring tools, maintain attention to detail, and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform welding tasks, including lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various positions and environments.
