Factory Worker

Custom Gaskets Ltd. has an opening for a Factory Worker, the successful candidate will have the following skills:

Location: Vancouver, B.C.

Position Type: Full-time, Permanent, Shift-work

Department: Extrusion

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• This job entails operating manufacturing equipment. (Training will be provided).
• Reading drawings, work orders and following quality procedures
• Selecting and carrying materials to your work area.
• Cutting shapes using a Press or various other types of equipment.
• Use measuring tools like calipers, tape measure, etc.
• Packing, inspecting and labeling product at the manufacturing line.
• Preparing work orders to pass to shipping.
• Responsible for keeping your work area tidy and returning materials to storage.
• Work under supervision and alone.
• Cross training will be provided for other equipment.
• Must be organized, flexible, proactive and interact in a positive and respectful manner with co-workers.
• Safety boots are required, the company will provide ear and eye protection.

• Some experience in a factory setting would be advantageous

Schedule

• This position is on our dayshift Monday 8 am – Friday 4.30 pm, 8 hours shifts
• On the job training will be provided, for all aspects of this position
• After Training you may be required to work on a backshift: 3.30 pm – 12 pm

Salary

• $17- $22 per hour starting rate (Rate will be assessed based on experience)
