📍 Location: Parksville, BC

💰 Salary: $120,000–$145,000 annually

🕒 Full-Time | On-Site

Express Custom Manufacturing, established in 1991, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our growing manufacturing operations.

We specialize in custom truck bodies, specialty vehicles, utility trailers, and precision metal fabrication.

We're looking for a hands-on manufacturing leader with extensive sheet metal fabrication expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily manufacturing operations, production planning, and scheduling.
Lead Production Supervisors, Foremen, and fabrication teams.
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Procurement.
Improve production efficiency, labour utilization, quality, and profitability.
Implement standardized processes, Lean manufacturing principles, and operational KPIs.
Promote workplace safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

15+ years of hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication and metal manufacturing.
5+ years of manufacturing management experience.
Strong technical knowledge of CNC cutting, press brakes, welding, aluminum and steel fabrication.
Proven leadership and team development skills.
Experience managing production schedules, manufacturing costs, and operational performance.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and solve complex fabrication challenges.

Experience in truck body manufacturing, specialty vehicles, or custom fabrication is an asset.
