Salary: >$185k + package

Our client is a leading Canadian mining company advancing a significant gold development project in British Columbia. They are seeking an experienced Manager, Exploration to lead exploration strategy and execution across an extensive and highly prospective land package. This role would be partnering with a colleague (Exploration Manager) who has been with the company for almost 8+ years.

This is a senior opportunity for an exploration professional who can combine strong technical expertise with proven leadership, program management and a track record of delivering exploration programs from grassroots exploration through resource definition.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the VP, Exploration, you will lead multidisciplinary exploration teams, contractors and consultants while driving the company's exploration growth strategy.

You will be responsible for overseeing technical programs spanning regional and near-mine exploration, target generation, land management and field execution, ensuring programs are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high technical standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and execute exploration strategies across regional and near-mine opportunities
• Lead geological mapping, sampling, drilling, geophysical and geochemical programs
• Integrate exploration datasets into robust geological models and target-generation workflows
• Manage field programs, including permitting, logistics, budgets and contractor performance
• Provide technical oversight and ensure geological data quality and integrity
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary exploration teams
• Prepare and review technical reports, presentations and public disclosure materials
• Work closely with executive leadership and internal stakeholders to advance exploration objectives
• Ensure all activities meet health, safety, environmental, regulatory and community-relations standards

WHAT YOU BRING

• 15+ years of experience within mineral exploration and mining environments
• 5+ years in a supervisory or management capacity
• Proven success leading exploration programs from grassroots through resource definition
• Experience operating in remote and logistically challenging environments
• Strong 3D geological modelling, geological database and ArcGIS capabilities
• Experience leading contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary technical teams
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including experience working with executive leadership
• Undergraduate degree in Geology from a recognized institution; graduate degree considered an asset
• Registered or eligible for registration as a Professional Geoscientist in British Columbia
• Valid driver's licence
